Social Media & Content Marketing FAQs

Have questions about how social media & content marketing outsourcing works?

Here are the most common FAQs people ask about outsourcing their social media and content marketing to our team. Please explore the topics below and contact me with any further questions.

  • Think of a social media manager as your brand ambassador online.

After creating a comprehensive strategy for your business and brand building, they create and post consistent content your audience wants.

With social media needing to be social, having a social media manager on your team means your voice is constantly being heard online, keeping you in front of potential customers. They can also respond to questions and DMs on your behalf, saving you the distraction and time- wasting that often comes with social media.

  • To use social media effectively, it’s so much more than random hit-and- miss posting on every channel.

As your social media manager, I partner with you to develop a unique, focussed social media marketing strategy designed to boost your brand awareness and reach your target audience.

With years of experience in online marketing, I strategically plan your social media strategy to align with your business goals and objectives while creating engaging content your audience wants.

Here are the top 5 things to consider when engaging a social media manager.

  • Posting on social media platforms is a surefire way to build your brand’s online presence. But the trick is to be highly consistent. When you outsource this to a social media manager, you know you’ll produce consistent content that speaks to your ideal customers.

It’s the job of a social media manager to create a strategy for your business and brand and to execute this for you when you don’t have time to keep up with your social media.

  • Yes – but it doesn’t mean you must use all the platforms! By getting to know you and your business, we determine what platforms your target audience uses and focus on those.

I work across multiple social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.

  • Have you heard the saying, ‘You can do anything but not everything’?

You can absolutely manage your social media yourself, but is it the best use of your time? Do you have the time needed for consistent posting and enjoy it? If not, that’s why you would use a social media manager.

They’ll create a consistent social media strategy and presence for you that gives your audience what they want.

  • Social media success can be measured in many ways, the most popular being Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These include:

    • Engagement rate – number of likes & comments per post

    • Reach – how far your content is spread on social networks

    • Traffic volume – how many visitors hit your website or landing page from your social networks

    • Clickthrough rate – how many people are taking action on a call-to-action after viewing your post

    • Conversion rate – how many people convert into customers after clicking your link or advertisement

Your social media manager should be able to provide you with a report that addresses these items so you can see the results they are achieving for you.

  • I work with a range of clients in the B2B space who need help with their social media. Clients include property specialists, coaches, allied health professionals, commercial cleaners, engineering firms, construction companies, FMCG clients and more.

  • Yes, of course. I offer 1:1 coaching or team training to teach you whatever you’d like to learn about social media. As a speaker, I’ve presented at numerous events and run workshops to help business owners manage their social media. Please get in touch to chat about tailored training options to suit you and your business.

  • My social media management services are highly customised to suit your business needs. As a guideline, my monthly packages start at $800 + GST. It’s recommended that you commit to at least 3 months to see an improvement in your social media efforts. Please get in touch to discuss the options that best suit your business.

  • When I start working with clients, I have a questionnaire that I ask you to complete. This tells me what you want to be known for, who your customers are, etc. You will need to give me your logos and brand style guide (if you have one) and any photos you want to use on your social media platforms.

You can have as much or as little involvement as you like. Most clients leave the work with me, only approving posts before they go live. I can also answer questions or comments on your behalf or leave that side up to you.

A social media manager aims to make your life as easy as possible, so the level of involvement is what you feel comfortable with. We’ll discuss this during our initial meeting.

  • Unfortunately not. I’m a social media manager, not a professional photographer or videographer. If you can’t do this yourself, I have some fantastic people I work with who I can put you in touch with. Just ask!

  • These days, most of our work is done virtually, and I don’t often meet up with clients in person (as I work with clients in various locations).

However, if you’re in Melbourne and relatively local, we can arrange an in-person meet-up at a time that suits us.

  • Sam Says is an SME, not a huge agency, and takes great pride in providing a tailored, personalised solution for your social media efforts.

As the business owner with my name on the business, I am your main point of contact. If I pass the work on to my highly experienced and dedicated team, I do the final review before I send it to you for approval.
